Resting from my vacation which was meant to be a rest from my daily life

We got in at 1:30am last night, had a busy day back in the swing of things today, including my little girl singing a solo in her school talent show. All went well; she did a great job and after all the excitement of the trip and gearing up for the talent show (I think I was as nervous as she was) I came home at 3pm this afternoon and promptly fell asleep on the couch until 7pm.

I’ll post more about the trip later. Unfortunately, I don’t have many photos to share. I wasn’t into taking pictures everywhere I went, I just wanted to have a good time. I’ve decided that experiences in my life are perfectly fine living in my memories, they don’t always have to be documented. And you know what, I felt completely at ease with it. Of course I’d love to have a few more pictures than the ones I took, (mostly shots of the hotel suite we stayed in and the hotel toiletries – more about that in the next post) but then again, this was one of the better vacations I’ve had in a while. And I’ve come home with a new perspective – more so than after other vacations. I feel a little more at ease and less caring about things that don’t matter. It’s been good for my brain and my soul!

Back again soon!
